Impunity should never surpass the rule of law.

**************************** "First i would like to thank connenction 3 for allowing us to express our views through your website. But let me go straight to the point. The culture of impunity must come to an end. But as we agree with those views, we must realize that although the post election violence was mainly caused by rigged election, the other reasons must also be addressed. Past injustices were one of them. Even if Ocampo succeed in his bid to have the perpetrators arrested and tried at Hague, that will not solve any problem, in fact it will worsen. Why for instance would one family own land equivalent to a whole province and yet we have thousands of squatters, and keep in mind that this family never spent a penny. It’s unfortunate that during revolution lives are lost but on the other hand justice is attained and attention is given. Tribalism is another issue. Remember by the time Kenyatta died, six of eight PCs were from Mt Kenya, 9 0f 16 cabinet ministers were from the same region and 12 of 18 permanent secretaries were too. The common mwanachi from the same region never benefitted from this although the rest think otherwise. Kibaki continued with the same trend. Let someone tell me how I benefited from anglo leasing scandal. If the masterminds of the scheme are in govt, why tell Ruto or Ongeri to quit? In short Kibaki will leave a total mess by the time he finish his term. In order to guarantee peace in Kenya, we must address four things; wipe out the corrupt, tribalist must be smoked out, land grabbers must face the hang man and none of them should be re appointed back after being suspended by the prime minister. Like I said a week ago peace is not the absence of war it’s the presence of justice. NO JUSTICE NO PEACE" ***********************By Peter Gachwiri… for connection33
